Overview

The Mpumalanga Department of Health invites applications for 27 Administration Clerk posts providing reliable administrative, records and client-service support across the Provincial Office, District Offices and selected facilities. Successful candidates will uphold professional standards and Batho Pele principles while keeping information accurate and accessible.

Distribution of Posts (27)

  • Provincial Office โ€“ Administration Clerk: Office of the Director (20 posts) across the following units: Infrastructure Programme Delivery; Accounting Services; Communication; Community Health-Based Services; Engineering & Technical Services; Forensic Health Care Services; Health Technology Services; Human Resource Practices & Administration; Information Communication Technology; Infrastructure Planning; Institutional Performance Management; Legal Services; Management Accounting; Primary Health Care; Research & Epidemiology; Special Projects; Strategic Planning & Policy; TB Control Programme; plus Corporate Services (Ehlanzeni District Office) and Hospital Services (Nkangala District Office).
  • Facilities (7 posts): Beatty Clinic (1), Mangweni CHC (1), Naas CHC (1) โ€“ Ref 1249; Administration Clerk: Patient Administration โ€“ KwaMhlanga Hospital (1) and Shongwe Hospital (1) โ€“ Ref 1251; plus two additional facility-based Administration Clerk posts within the Provincial/District allocation (as advertised under Ref 1243).

Key Responsibilities

-Type letters, memos and reports; copy/scan documents.

-Maintain filing systems and registers; safeguard records.

-Register and track incoming/outgoing correspondence.

-Collect, capture and compile routine statistics/returns.

-Arrange accommodation, travel and transport logistics where required.

-Coordinate meeting & training logistics (venues, notices, attendance, minutes).

-Provide courteous front-office service aligned to Batho Pele.

-Perform any other reasonable clerical duties as directed.

Requirements & Skills

Grade 12 certificate (or equivalent).

Basic computer literacy.

-Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written).

-Understanding of customer care and Batho Pele Principles.

-Ability to work under pressure, manage time and keep accurate records; integrity and attention to detail.
