Overview

Tataki Mine is recruiting a qualified Rigger to safely install and operate rigging systems used in lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials across the mining site. This role requires strong safety awareness and technical expertise in rigging procedures.

Key Responsibilities

-Install and dismantle rigging systems.

-Inspect lifting gear and equipment.

-Work with crane operators during lifts to ensure safety.

-Signal crane movements.

-Calculate safe load limits and configurations.

-Maintain and inspect rigging equipment regularly.

-Ensure compliance with rigging codes and site-specific safety protocols.

Requirements and Skills

-National Craft Certificate (NCC) – NS 2 or NS 3.

-At least two (2) years of practical rigging experience.

-Strong understanding of rigging safety codes and signaling procedures.

-Ability to interpret load charts and rigging plans.

-Good physical condition and ability to work in a team.

-Safety-focused and detail-oriented.
