Position Overview:

Pick n Pay Botswana invites qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Systems and PC Support Technician. This role is responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and related hardware/software across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

-Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues

-Provide comprehensive support for hardware and software systems

-Manage inventory and IT assets

-Perform regular data backups and restore operations

-Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues

-Assist with the implementation of new systems and IT projects

-Keep up to date with evolving technologies and best practices

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician
  • Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and computer networks
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation tools is an added advantage
  • Valid driverโ€™s license
  • Fluent in English (knowledge of local languages is a plus)
