Overview

The Department of Employment and Labour is recruiting 97 Client Service Officers to deliver high-quality services across various Labour Centres and Satellite Offices in the Eastern Cape. Successful candidates will provide frontline client support, process UIF applications, manage screening services and offer administrative assistance to ensure efficient service delivery.

These vacancies are ideal for individuals with strong communication, customer-service confidence, and the ability to interpret labour-related legislation and UIF requirements. No prior experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

– Provide screening services to clients visiting the Labour Centre or satellite offices.
– Process applications for Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) benefits.
– Register payment continuation forms for UIF beneficiaries.
– Provide administrative and clerical support to ensure smooth operations.
– Assist with client queries, information capturing and document verification.
– Support the implementation of departmental policies, PFMA compliance, POPIA standards and Batho Pele principles.
– Ensure correct interpretation of the UIF Act and Unemployment Insurance Contributions Act when assisting clients.

Minimum Requirements

– Grade 12 / Senior Certificate (no experience required).
