1) Deputy Manager: Organisational Performance (PL3)
Remuneration: R765 841.02 โ R844 133.00 p.a. (excl. benefits)
Overview
Provide strategic leadership for organisational performance, Performance Management System (PMS) and SDBIP monitoring, reporting and stakeholder relations across the Municipality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage strategic organisational performance and PMS framework.
- Monitor/review performance against SDBIP; compile divisional performance reports.
- Develop and manage the divisional budget; submit adjustments.
- Implement staff development and training.
- Support IDP processes and public participation; identify key deliverables per IDP.
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 plus Bachelorโs Degree in Public Administration/Management/HRM or related.
- 3โ5 yearsโ relevant experience and a driverโs licence.
- Knowledge of local government legislation; strong report-writing, computer literacy, planning, time-management, multitasking and stakeholder communication; innovative team player.
2) Senior Communication Officer (PL4)
Remuneration: R644 302.14 โ R711 121.14 p.a. (excl. benefits)
Overview
Lead internal and external communications, media liaison and branding to enhance the Municipalityโs public image.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft speeches, statements and publications; coordinate branding.
- Develop and implement communication strategies; handle media liaison.
- Monitor client enquiries and service levels; supervise staff; administer unit tasks.
- Represent the Municipality in the media and articulate official positions.
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 plus National Diploma in Media Studies/Public Relations (or related).
- 3โ4 yearsโ relevant experience and a driverโs licence.
- Strong knowledge of LG legislation; excellent writing, planning, multitasking and interpersonal skills; computer literate.
3) Senior Administrator โ Payroll (PL7)
Remuneration: R444 348.99 โ R490 342.71 p.a. (excl. benefits)
Overview
Administer payroll processes, records and reconciliations to ensure accurate, compliant salary payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll/salary requisitions and maintain records.
- Prepare purchase orders for direct purchases.
- Check store records for safety/compliance.
- Reconcile creditorsโ information with statements; general admin as required.
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 plus National Diploma in Financial Management/Accounting (NQF 6 or related).
- Min 1 year relevant experience; knowledge of municipal financial systems and payroll principles.
- Computer literacy and driverโs licence.
4) Secretary โ Community Services (PL8)
Remuneration: R392 460.44 โ R433 412.92 p.a. (excl. benefits)
Overview
Provide executive secretarial and office management support to the Senior Manager: Community Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage diary, travel, typing, filing and records.
- Consolidate monthly directorate reports; event coordination and logistics.
- First point of contact per Batho Pele; manage calls and emails.
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12, Computer Literacy and National Diploma in Office Management.
- 1โ2 yearsโ experience and driverโs licence; able to undergo security clearance.
5) Junior Fire Fighters (PL11) โ x4 Posts

Overview
Deliver fire & emergency response, rescue operations, daily station and equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Firefighting, rescue and control-room duties.
- Maintain stations, vehicles and equipment; daily inspections/cleaning.
- Participate in internal/external training; perform prescribed admin.
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12, BAA Fire Fighter 1 Certificate, Code C1 driverโs licence.

Overview
Provide general cleaning, housekeeping and event support services across municipal facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash curtains/windows/tablecloths; sweep, dust, polish, buff floors; clean toilets and furniture; empty bins.
- Offload groceries; clean venues; arrange chairs/tables; provide water/glasses.
- Wash dishes; assist moving furniture/equipment; report breakages; other related tasks.
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 10/ABET; willing to undergo security clearance.
- Basic cleaning knowledge; ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
7) Cleaners (PL14) โ x2 Posts
Remuneration: R173 311.20 โ R194 485.03 p.a. (excl. benefits)
Overview
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within municipal offices and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Empty/wash bins; tidy and dust offices; vacuum carpets; mop floors.
- Replace consumables; check and report defects; monitor cleaning materials and report to supervisor.
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 10/ABET; security clearance readiness.
- Knowledge of cleaning materials/equipment; ability to work independently and in a team.
