Position Overview

SASSA invites suitably qualified, committed, and motivated individuals to apply for Administration Clerk (Level 05) positions for the 2026 intake. This role is vital in supporting the officeโ€™s daily operations and ensuring efficient service delivery to beneficiaries. Successful applicants will handle a variety of administrative duties while ensuring compliance with government regulations and SASSA policies.


Key Responsibilities

1. Transport Services

-Process and manage transport requests

-Maintain accurate transport records

-Ensure vehicles are optimally utilized and compliant

2. Human Resource Administration

-Maintain updated staff records

-Process leave forms and HR documentation

-Assist with recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes

3. General Administrative Support

-Handle office correspondence (email, telephone, walk-ins)

-Maintain filing systems and office records

-Provide administrative support to different units as required

4. Provisioning & Procurement Services

-Assist with ordering and issuing office supplies

-Comply with procurement procedures and PFMA regulations

5. Compliance & Governance

-Ensure administrative and financial tasks comply with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)

-Support audit processes and enforce internal controls


Minimum Requirements

  • Senior Certificate / Matric
  • 0โ€“1 year administrative experience (advantageous but not compulsory)
  • Computer literacy (MS Office essential)
  • Valid driverโ€™s licence will be an added advantage
