Location: Various Wards in Lesedi Local Municipality (Ward 1–13)

Overview

Lesedi Local Municipality invites applications for 29 Ward-Based Educators (Field Workers) to support community HIV/AIDS, TB, and social outreach programmes across clustered wards. This is a 12-month temporary contract.

Minimum Requirements

-Grade 10 or equivalent qualification

-Minimum 1 year experience in public service or an NPO

-Must be a resident of Lesedi Local Municipality

-Must specify your Ward Number in the application

Experience (Community-Based Projects)

• Basic HIV knowledge and/or training
• Ability to read, write, communicate and engage communities
• Ability to capture, compile, sort and verify community data
• Ability to prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports
• Ability to conduct outreach, education and referrals

Key Duties

-Conduct community HIV/AIDS, TB and STI education

-Promote behaviour change and reduce new infections

-Support local households through information and referrals

-Assist with reporting, data capturing, and community profiling

-Work with community leaders, households and vulnerable groups

-Support municipal health initiatives (HTS, PMTCT, PEP, ART awareness)
