Job Overview
Exxaro Resources is hiring two (2) Security Officers to join the Matla Coal operation in Kriel, Mpumalanga. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, compliant, and secure environment for employees, contractors, and visitors.
You will be responsible for patrols, risk control operations, equipment inspections, reporting, and maintaining strong client relationships while upholding strict SHE (Safety, Health & Environmental) standards.

Minimum Requirements
–Grade 10 or AET Level 4 (Essential)
–PSIRA Registration (Essential)
–Certificate of Fitness (Essential)
–6โ12 months relevant security experience
–Psychometric Assessment (Essential)
-Proficiency in client relationship management
-Experience in risk control operations (patrols, equipment inspections)
-Knowledge of SHE policies & procedures
-Strong communication skills
-High ethical standards, adaptability, teamwork, and creativity
Key Duties & Responsibilities
-Conduct regular security patrols to ensure compliance and identify risks.
-Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
-Perform administrative and reporting duties for your designated security area.
-Inspect and maintain fire safety, PPE, and crowd control equipment.
-Assist in risk control operations and act as a reaction officer when required.
-Promote and enforce adherence to SHE policies and safe work practices.
-Support cost control by minimizing waste of time, materials, and resources.
-Participate in training, skills development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
