Overview
The Limpopo Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is seeking hardworking and reliable individuals to fill 6 General Worker positions across various districts. The successful candidates will perform general support duties, including maintaining premises and assisting with departmental operations.
Key Responsibilities
-Perform general assistant work, including maintaining premises and surroundings.
-Safeguard and maintain gardening equipment.
-Operate basic garden equipment and machinery.
-Move furniture and equipment as required.
-Remove garbage, empty boxes, and assist in receiving stock and goods.
-Report any losses or damage to equipment.
-Load and offload goods as required.
Minimum Requirements
–ABET Level 2 or equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
–Basic skills in reading, writing, numeracy, and communication.
-Knowledge of cleaning procedures, gardening principles, and operating/maintaining relevant equipment.
-Ability to work in a team, show commitment, punctuality, and loyalty.
Competencies
-Good interpersonal relations and teamwork.
-Ability to perform manual work.
-Commitment to Batho Pele Principles.
-Reliability and responsibility when handling departmental property.
