Overview
Pick n Pay is seeking a professional and vigilant Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of all staff, customers, and company assets at its Ottery store.
The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing security procedures, identifying risks, and maintaining a safe retail environment while delivering courteous customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide efficient security services in line with company policies and procedures
- Interact professionally with customers and employees while applying security protocols
- Identify potential security risks and take appropriate corrective action
- Safeguard company assets and prevent loss or damage
- Monitor and evaluate security systems and recommend improvements where necessary
- Liaise with senior management, external security providers, and SAPS
- Follow emergency and alarm call-out procedures when required
- Remain alert and vigilant at all times
- Handle challenging customers calmly and professionally
- Ensure security compliance by staff and customers
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Recognised Security Qualification
- Valid PSIRA/SOB registration โ Minimum Grade C
