Overview

FlySafair, a leading South African aviation company, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Toolstore Assistant to join the Logistics team at its Head Office in Bonaero Park. The successful candidate will ensure efficient tool management, accurate record-keeping, and proper maintenance of aviation tools to support operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

-Update all systems used in the tool store to ensure accuracy and availability.

-Resolve queries related to tools and assist technicians with over-the-counter requests.

-Manage outstation tool requests and plan for timely replacements.

-Ensure all shelves and tools are clearly marked and properly stored.

-Record and return tools correctly, ensuring accurate documentation.

-Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock checks.

-Follow up on tools out for calibration or repair and ensure availability.

-Maintain adequate stock of consumables in the tool store.

-Perform monthly inspections on ground support equipment (GSE) and tools.

-Report unserviceable GSE or tools to maintenance for rectification.

-Control access to the tool store and maintain proper housekeeping standards.

-Provide reports in line with prescribed work instructions.


Requirements & Skills

Minimum Qualification: Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential).

-1โ€“2 yearsโ€™ experience in warehousing (Essential).

-Dangerous Goods and Aircraft Spares Packing certification (Advantageous).

-Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks (Essential).

-Willingness to work overtime and 24-hour shifts when required.

-Knowledge of ERP systems (Advantageous).

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
