Overview
Heineken Beverages South Africa is recruiting a General Worker to join the team at Durbanville Hills in Cape Town. This role is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping to ensure smooth daily operations within the Brand Home environment.
The successful candidate will support hospitality operations, events, and guest services by ensuring facilities remain clean, organised and welcoming at all times.
Purpose of the Role
To ensure the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the buildings and facilities, acting as the main custodian of housekeeping while supporting hospitality and event functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain general housekeeping across the Brand Home and operational areas
- Prepare tea, coffee and meal services for conferences, meetings and special events
- Clean tasting rooms, conference facilities and restaurant areas throughout the day
- Ensure all floors, surfaces, glassware, doors and windows are clean and presentable
- Prepare public spaces before guest arrival
- Report maintenance, cleaning or safety issues
- Manage stock levels of cleaning materials and equipment
- Follow company policies and procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- Relevant hygiene or cleanliness management certificates will be advantageous
- Proven experience as a general worker in a hospitality environment
- Front-of-house or service experience
- Food and beverage preparation experience

- Proactive and self-driven
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Flexible and adaptable
- Willingness to work after hours, weekends, public holidays and festive seasons
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
