Dis-Chem Pharmacies is recruiting a Cleaner for its Head Office in Midrand. The successful candidate will ensure a clean, hygienic and well-maintained office environment in line with Dis-Chem standards.
Position Overview
The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across office spaces, communal areas, kitchens and restrooms. This role requires strong attention to detail, reliability and professionalism when interacting with staff and visitors.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- South African citizen
- Clear criminal and credit record (MIE verification)
- Valid driverโs licence and own reliable transport
Advantageous:
- Additional language
Key Responsibilities
-Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the Head Office
-Clean communal areas, canteen and restrooms daily
-Ensure kitchens and bathrooms are fully stocked at all times
-Vacuum carpeted areas according to standard operating procedures
-Dust desks, office furniture and equipment regularly
-Ensure refuse is checked for products or valuables before disposal
-Follow health and safety regulations when performing duties
-Use and store cleaning equipment safely
-Place visible wet floor signs during cleaning
-Report malfunctioning equipment or maintenance issues
-Assist visitors by directing them appropriately
-Communicate clearly and professionally with staff and guests
