Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking 15 experienced Store Cleaners across multiple locations in South Africa. These roles are crucial in maintaining the companyโs high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within retail stores, ensuring a pleasant shopping environment for customers and a safe, sanitary workplace for staff.
Key Responsibilities
-Maintain hygiene and cleanliness throughout the store, including shop floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, canteen, and communal areas.
-Develop and follow cleaning routines to uphold store cleanliness at all times.
-Keep restrooms and staff facilities clean and stocked.
-Be available during operational hours for on-demand cleaning tasks.
-Use correct cleaning products and equipment for specific jobs.
-Ensure wet floor signage is visible during cleaning.
-Provide friendly, professional assistance to customers when required.
-Adhere to Health and Safety Regulations.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
-Grade 12 / Matric.
-At least 6 months of cleaning experience. (Advantageous)
-Good command of English (written and spoken).
-Basic customer service skills.
-Willingness to work retail hours.
Advantageous:
- Bilingual.
- Previous retail store cleaning experience.

- Ability to follow instructions.
Special Conditions
- Physically fit to handle cleaning duties.
- Must have reliable transport or live near the store.
- South African citizenship.
