Overview
A reputable organisation in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Handyman to join their maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for plumbing and general building repairs, tool and equipment management, and supervising subordinates to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repairs

  • Perform plumbing and general building maintenance services.
  • Identify faults and carry out timely, effective repairs.
  • Ensure building-related tasks are completed within set deadlines.

Job & Tool Management

  • Open and close job cards accurately.
  • Maintain and safeguard issued tools and equipment.
  • Compile reports on completed work for tracking and compliance.

Procurement & Costing Support

  • Obtain and manage quotes for building repairs, tools, and materials.

Supervision & Team Support

  • Supervise and guide subordinates in executing maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

Conduct, Housekeeping & Safety Compliance

  • Follow and enforce health and safety regulations and procedures.

Entry Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
  • Prior experience in a building maintenance environment.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in tool handling and equipment management.
  • Strong technical and maintenance skills.
  • Ability to compile accurate reports and maintain records.
  • Supervisory skills.
  • Basic electrical and plumbing skills.
  • Basic generator and fire pump maintenance skills.
