Overview
The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development is seeking qualified Security Officers to ensure the safety and security of departmental buildings, premises, and staff in the Eastern Cape and Limpopo.
Entry Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Knowledge of Physical Security procedures and processes.
- Knowledge of Security Legislative Frameworks and PSIRA Grade C.
- Good communication skills (written & verbal).
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy and ability to operate security equipment.
- Planning and organising abilities.
- Understanding of confidentiality in government.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide access control to buildings and premises.
- Prevent unauthorised entry and secure restricted areas.
- Monitor CCTV cameras.
- Manage biometric systems for staff entry.
- Improve safety protocols and respond to security incidents.
- Grant access to staff during weekends or after hours.
