Overview

The City of Tshwaneโ€™s Group Financial Services Department, Logistics & Performance Management Division, is recruiting 5 General Workers to join the Logistics Planning & Inventory Section. This role is vital in ensuring clean, hygienic, and well-maintained office facilities to support daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sweep, vacuum, wash, and polish floors, furniture, and fixtures.
  • Clean and disinfect kitchens, bathrooms, and toilets.
  • Assist with kitchen duties, including dishwashing.
  • Collect rubbish, empty garbage containers, and transport waste.
  • Dust furniture, beat carpets, and maintain cleanliness across office spaces.
  • Carry, load, and unload furniture and goods within offices and onto trucks.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform cleaning and related duties.
  • Basic literacy (ability to read and write).
  • Relevant cleaning experience (advantageous).
  • Physically fit and in good health (ability to stand and walk long distances).
  • Must undergo a criminal record check (fingerprints taken by Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost).

Remuneration

  • Salary Scale: R159 936 โ€“ R186 936 per annum
