Overview

The City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Bus Services SOC Ltd (Metrobus) is offering 135 positions under the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP). This initiative aims to create temporary work opportunities for unemployed residents of Johannesburg.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with general work duties as allocated within Metrobus depots and outlets.
  • Support day-to-day operational and maintenance tasks.
  • Adhere to safety and operational guidelines.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of transport services in the city.

Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 10 or NCV Level 4.
  • Must be unemployed and aged between 18 โ€“ 45 years.
  • Must be a South African citizen residing within the City of Johannesburg (attach recent proof of residence).
  • Applicants must attach certified copies of qualifications, ID, and CV.
  • Membership numbers and expiry dates are required if registered with professional bodies.
  • Internal applicants must provide employee numbers (if applicable).

Preference will be given to:

Stipend

  • A monthly stipend will be provided for the duration of the 12-month contract.
