Overview

Power Fashion is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Tembisa Mall. This role supports the Store Manager in driving store performance, ensuring compliance with company standards, and maintaining a customer-focused environment. The successful candidate will take ownership of operational excellence, staff management, and sales initiatives while acting as a key leader within the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Relieve and support the Store Manager in their absence.
• Ensure company standards for housekeeping, merchandising, shrinkage control, discipline, and security are upheld.
• Handle banking processes and oversee the cash office.
• Implement and monitor front-end controls.
• Lead and manage staff, ensuring adherence to company procedures.
• Minimize stock loss through proactive controls.
• Drive customer service excellence and introduce sales initiatives to achieve store targets.
• Assist with administrative and operational duties as required.

Requirements & Skills

• Qualification: Matric / Grade 12 (Mathematics advantageous) or NQF Level 4.
• Experience:
  • Prior experience managing people and/or a department (essential).
  • Clothing retail experience (advantageous).
• Skills & Attributes:
  • Strong communication and administrative skills.
  • Organizational and planning abilities.
  • Leadership and decision-making capability.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic.
