Position Overview

The Agricultural Research Council is seeking a qualified Tractor Driver to join their team in Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating tractors with various attachments, ensuring efficient soil cultivation, and assisting with general farm duties.

Key Responsibilities

-Operate a tractor with implements such as bush cutters, slashers, and spraying machines.

-Perform accurate and timely soil cultivation, ensuring high-quality standards.

-Safely transport farm produce, fertilizers, and equipment.

-Conduct basic maintenance on the tractor and its attachments.

-Manage time effectively while completing individual and team tasks.

-Keep records of daily tasks, diesel usage, and spraying schedules.

-Assist with general farm activities as instructed by the supervisor.

-Adhere to all Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (OHSE) Act regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Grade 10 qualification.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a tractor driver.
  • Strong reading and writing skills.
  • Valid Code 10 (C1) driverโ€™s license.
