Join Our Legal Team – Junior Associate Attorney (Maun Office)

Akheel Jinabhai & Associates, a leading law firm in Botswana, is looking for a dedicated and qualified Junior Associate Attorney to join our Maun office. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in property law and conveyancing, and demonstrate the ability to handle legal matters with professionalism, efficiency, and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend to property and conveyancing matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate various property-related contracts
• Handle conveyancing transactions from initiation to registration
• Provide support in estate administration, trusts, and wills
• Appear in court, conduct consultations, and advise clients
• Draft pleadings and perform legal research and opinion writing
• Maintain client relationships and ensure timely communication
• Organize and maintain accurate case files (electronic and physical)
• Attend Land Boards, Councils, and other relevant authorities
• Provide administrative and legal support to the conveyancing team
• Carry out any other legal duties as assigned

About You – Qualifications & Experience:

• LLB Degree from a recognized institution
• Admitted Attorney eligible to practice in Botswana
• 2–3 years of experience in property law, conveyancing, and litigation
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
• Keen attention to detail and commitment to ethical legal practice
