Job Overview:
Faircape Group is seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join their team on a temporary basis at the Heritage Manor facility in Somerset West. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting residents and staff, ensuring safety, comfort, and exceptional customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport Duties:
- Transport staff by bus between parking areas and the estate.
- Drive residents on scheduled outings and ad hoc trips (including after-hours and weekends when required).
Vehicle Care:
- Conduct daily vehicle checks (cleanliness, tyres, oil, and physical condition).
- Report any vehicle issues or irregularities to management promptly.
- Abide by all traffic laws and drive cautiously.
- Ensure proper parking of vehicles (bus/golf cart) when not in use.
Administrative Support:
- Assist with internal mail/post distribution within the estate.
- Maintain accurate trip logs and submit reports as requested by management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s License with a valid PDP (non-negotiable)
- Previous experience driving a 23-seater passenger bus
- Clear driving and criminal record
- Experience in a retirement village or tourism environment is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English
- Safety-conscious and committed to professional conduct
