Job Overview:
VMD Admin is currently recruiting a skilled and safety-conscious Code 14 (EC) Driver to join its team in Kimberley. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing scheduled pick-ups and deliveries, ensuring the safe handling of goods, and maintaining the delivery vehicle in excellent condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled collections and deliveries as instructed.
- Verify stock during loading and offloading, ensuring it matches delivery documentation.
- Prevent stock loss by following proper loading and securing procedures.
- Maintain the vehicle’s operational condition through daily inspections and logbook updates.
- Operate truck-mounted cranes when required (experience essential).
- Adhere strictly to company Health & Safety protocols.
- Navigate efficiently within Kimberley and surrounding areas.
- Work under varying weather conditions and time pressures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Code EC (Code 14) driver’s license with a valid PrDP
- 1–3 years’ experience operating Code EC trucks
- Experience with truck-mounted crane operations is essential
- Good geographical knowledge of Kimberley roads and traffic
- High level of alertness, attention to detail, and planning skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Physically fit and able to handle variable weather conditions
