Overview:
The Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs (DARDLEA) invites applications for the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) Cleaner positions. These roles aim to provide temporary work opportunities for South African citizens between the ages of 16 and 65, including youth, women, and persons with disabilities. A total of 55 Cleaner positions are available across the following districts: Bohlabela, Nkangala, Gert Sibande, Ehlanzeni, and Head Office locations.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates with at least Grade 10 education who are looking to gain work experience, contribute to clean and safe public service environments, and be part of a developmental public works programme.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning of offices, communal areas, and facilities.
- Ensure proper hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Dispose of waste according to departmental procedures.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and use supplies responsibly.
- Assist with general maintenance tasks when required.
- Report any safety hazards or facility issues to supervisors.
Requirements and Skills:
- Minimum Qualification: Grade 10 or ABET Level 4 (Grade 12 preferred for some positions).
- Skills:
- Basic literacy and numeracy.
- Physical fitness to perform cleaning duties.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Knowledge of cleaning practices and use of equipment.
- Good communication and time management.
