Overview:
Vassco Distributors, a wholesale distribution company based in Silverton, is seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver with a Code 10 licence for a 3-month fixed-term contract. The ideal candidate should have strong delivery experience with UD trucks and live in or around the Silverton area. This role is essential to ensure timely and safe delivery of goods to customers while maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
-Drive Code 10 UD trucks safely to customer destinations.
-Load and unload stock, and assist with picking items as needed.
-Maintain accurate logs of all driving and delivery activities.
-Ensure vehicles are kept in good working condition.
-Collect payments from customers upon delivery when required.
-Uphold professional standards of punctuality, customer service, and vehicle care.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric)
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience driving Code 10 trucks, preferably UD
- Experience in a food and beverage wholesale distribution environment (advantageous)
- Licensing:
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s License
- Valid PrDP (Professional Driving Permit) for Goods and Passengers
- Defensive Driving Course (advantageous)
