1. LHD Operator
Location: Bakubung Platinum Mine, Rustenburg

Role Description:
The LHD Operator is responsible for operating Load Haul Dump (LHD) machines and ensuring optimal use of equipment to meet daily production targets. The role reports to the Miner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 10 or equivalent NQF Level 3 qualification.
- Valid LHD certificate of competence.
- At least 3 years of underground mining experience, including 3 years as an appointed LHD Operator.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Passed a valid medical assessment.
- Competent B and underground trackless mining experience.
- Board & Pillar or mechanised mining experience is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate LHD safely and in line with company procedures and safety standards.
- Report and inspect machines before and after usage.
- Perform refueling, pre-checks, and monitor machine conditions.
- Complete production activities according to requirements.
- Maintain clean work areas and conduct inspections as required.
- Identify issues and report breakdowns or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Assist team members and promote safety awareness.

2. Drill Rig Operator

Role Description:
The Drill Rig Operator will operate equipment to perform drilling activities safely and efficiently, helping meet daily production targets.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 10 or equivalent NQF Level 3 qualification.
- Valid Drill Rig certificate of competence.
- At least 3 years of underground mining experience, including 3 years as an appointed Drill Rig Operator.
- Competent B certificate.
- Underground and mechanised mining experience required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drill holes to specified patterns.
- Perform safety and pre-use inspections of the machine.
- Ensure blast holes are drilled to required standards.
- Report defects and assist with machine maintenance.
- Maintain records of work and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
