Overview
Mediclinic Hermanus seeks a qualified and dedicated Care Worker to join the Theatre unit. The successful candidate will support nursing staff in delivering safe, quality patient care, contributing to an excellent patient experience while ensuring adherence to hospital policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist nursing unit staff in providing quality patient care within a collaborative team approach.
• Identify and report risks in accordance with hospital policies.
• Support administrative tasks within the nursing unit.
• Promote a positive patient experience through effective assistance and care.
• Participate in continuous personal development and contribute to staff competence.
• Ensure efficient and accurate use of stock, including correct charging.

Entry Requirements

• Essential Education: Relevant Care Worker qualification.
• Desired Education: Grade 12.
• Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare environment (essential).

Skills & Knowledge

• Understanding of patient care principles.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.
• Familiarity with stock control principles.
• Knowledge of medico-legal risks and reporting procedures.
• Ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently.
• Strong understanding of patient experience standards.
