Overview
Cashbuild in Springs is seeking a dedicated Cashier to join their team. The role involves accurate handling of Point of Sale (POS) transactions, ensuring all stock is paid for before leaving the store, and delivering excellent customer service. This position is suited for detail-oriented individuals with strong administrative and numerical skills.
Key Responsibilities
-Handle all cash (including floats and petty cash) accurately with no shorts or overs.
-Capture goods and payment types correctly on the POS terminal.
-Ensure sufficient change is available at all times.
-Complete cash-ups and deposit daily takings into the Drop Safe/Vault.
-Process all documentation, deliveries, quotes, and inter-store transactions correctly.
-Provide fast, friendly, and efficient customer service.
-Direct customers to relevant departments or staff for assistance.
-Comply with company dress code and safety (OHSA) requirements.
-Report discrepancies to management and maintain high security awareness at till points.
Requirements & Skills
-Grade 12 OR a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience.
-Ability to communicate effectively in English and the local language of the area.
-Strong administrative and basic calculation skills.
-Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
-Ability to work effectively under pressure.
