Overview

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is recruiting 65 Cashiers to deliver a world-class checkout experience across our store network. These roles are ideal for customer-focused self-starters. No experience needed — full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

-Serve customers professionally at the POS: scan items, process payments (cash/cards/vouchers/coupons), issue receipts/returns/exchanges per policy.

-Maintain till accuracy and cash-handling controls (voids/price changes with approval; drop-safe usage; password security).

-Promote loyalty participation (Dis-Chem & partners) and advise customers on current promotions.

-Keep the checkout area tidy; support basic merchandising/housekeeping to store standards.

-Follow security, fraud-prevention, and H&S procedures; report suspicious activity.

-Handle product queries and escalate service issues to the Frontline Supervisor/Manager.

Requirements & Skills

–Grade 12 / Matric (preferred).

–No prior cashier experience required — training provided.

-Basic computer and numeracy skills; strong command of English (an additional local language is advantageous).

-Accuracy, attention to detail, honesty, and good people skills.

-Willing and able to work retail hours, weekends and public holidays.

-Reliable transport and/or reside near the store; South African citizen (for SA roles); clear credit/criminal record.
