Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is hiring experienced Cashiers for various stores across South Africa. These roles are focused on delivering excellent customer service at the point of sale while ensuring compliance with cash handling procedures and maintaining a professional store environment. If you have experience operating tills and a passion for retail, this is an ideal opportunity to join one of South Africaโs leading pharmacy chains.
Key Responsibilities
-Adhere to customer service standards and build professional relationships with customers
-Transact purchases accurately using cash, cards, vouchers, coupons, and loyalty programs
-Handle exchanges and returns in line with company policies
-Manage and safeguard cash and daily takings
-Be aware of current promotions and ensure smooth customer transactions
-Report customer compliments and complaints
-Ensure all stock leaving the store is paid for and scanned correctly
-Alert management to suspicious behaviour and follow security procedures
-Maintain confidentiality and protect till access credentials
-Carry out Dis-Chemโs 5-star communication principles at all times
Minimum Requirements
-Matric / Grade 12
-Minimum of 6 monthsโ cashier or till operation experience
-Basic computer literacy (MS Office)
-Strong numeracy skills
-Ability to work retail hours (weekends, holidays, and shifts)
-Strong command of English (written and verbal)
Advantageous
- Ability to speak a third South African language
- Prior experience in a retail or pharmacy environment
