Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is building a talent pool of Casual Cashiers for their Tubatse stores in Nelspruit. This initiative aims to pre-screen suitable candidates for future opportunities that match the companyโs retail needs and standards.
Purpose of the Role
Support front-end operations by delivering exceptional customer service at the point of sale and processing transactions with precision and integrity, in line with Dis-Chemโs standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
-Accurately process customer purchases and payments
-Maintain professional and friendly interaction with customers
-Handle returns, exchanges, and voids with supervisor approval
-Promote store loyalty programmes and current promotions
-Secure all cash and transaction-related items in accordance with company policy
-Monitor for suspicious behaviour and report to management
-Maintain till cleanliness and confidentiality of daily takings
Minimum Requirements
-Grade 12 / Matric certificate
-Minimum 6 monthsโ cashier/till operation experience
-Computer literate (MS Office)
-Strong numerical and communication skills
-Customer service orientation
-Willing and able to work retail hours
-South African citizen
-Clear criminal and credit records

Advantageous
