Overview

The North West Department of Health is recruiting six Cleaner II staff members to provide routine cleaning services that ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic hospital environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Successful candidates will be deployed across the Klerksdorp/Tshepong Hospital Complex and the Provincial Laundry.

Key Responsibilities

-Perform daily cleaning of wards, offices, corridors, ablutions, and other areas using dusters, brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners, and scrubbing machines.

-Remove refuse and maintain tidy, hazard-free passages and service areas.

-Uphold infection control, health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.

-Care for and correctly use cleaning equipment and materials.

-Perform any other reasonable cleaning or housekeeping tasks delegated by the supervisor.

Requirements & Skills

-NQF Level 1 & 2 (ABET Level 2 Certificate or equivalent).

-Ability to read and write.

-Knowledge of basic health and safety measures.

-Good interpersonal and communication skills.

-Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.
