Overview
The Department of Defence is recruiting 47 Cleaners across various Military Health Units, Military Hospitals and Defence Headquarters nationally. These positions are essential for maintaining hygienic, safe and orderly environments across operational, medical and administrative facilities.
No prior experience is required. Applicants should be physically able to stand for long hours, organised, able to work independently and able to follow health and safety standards. Successful candidates will perform a wide range of cleaning and sanitation duties to support smooth facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
โ Clean offices, corridors, elevators, boardrooms and general working areas.
โ Dust and wax office furniture.
โ Sweep, scrub, vacuum, wax and shampoo floors.
โ Clean walls, windows, glass panels and doors.
โ Empty, wash and disinfect waste bins.
โ Collect and dispose of waste and recyclable materials.
โ Clean and refresh kitchens, sinks and wash-up areas.
โ Wash and maintain kitchen utensils.
โ Clean restrooms; refill liquid soap, hand towels, toilet paper and refreshers.
โ Safely maintain and store cleaning equipment and materials.
โ Report broken equipment and maintenance needs.
โ Request cleaning materials and collect stock from stores.
โ Clean microwaves, vacuum cleaners and other cleaning machines after use.
โ Maintain hygiene standards and comply with safety regulations.
Minimum Requirements
โ ABET qualification (no experience required).
โ Ability to stand for long periods.
โ Ability to work independently.
โ Basic communication and organisational skills.
โ Basic knowledge of health and safety.
โ Willingness to work shifts as required.
