Overview
Kumba Iron Ore, a business unit of Anglo American, is seeking an entry-level Clerk to join the Processing Department in Kathu. This role provides essential administrative support to the team, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with company policies. As part of Anglo American, you will be contributing to a global leader in mining, producing high-grade iron ore vital for construction and manufacturing worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to health and safety practices, maintain good housekeeping, and actively participate in safety initiatives.
- General Administration: Perform tasks such as typing, copying, diary management, order processing, and SAP order creation.
- Meeting Support: Take minutes during sectional meetings and assist with time & attendance matters.
- Document Control: Process, file, and manage documents in line with company policies and document control principles.
- Team Assistance: Provide support to the supervisor and colleagues as required to meet departmental objectives.
Requirements & Skills
- Education: Grade 12 or equivalent (essential).
- Licence: Valid South African driverโs licence (essential).
- Experience: 1โ2 years in administration with knowledge of processing operations (advantageous).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and Excel.
- Knowledge of document control processes and office logistics.
- Familiarity with company safety standards and emergency procedures.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
