Purpose of the Role

The Clerk role provides expert clerical and administrative support as part of an integrated office support function. The position supports mechanical maintenance activities, including turnarounds and breakdowns, by delivering accurate administrative, SAP, procurement, and documentation services to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Sasol standards.


Key Accountabilities

  • Meet individual targets and contribute to overall team performance
  • Ensure work outputs meet required quality, quantity, and deadline standards
  • Provide administrative support aligned with Business Unit and Sasol requirements
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of administrative systems and processes
  • Execute tasks with an understanding of financial planning and cost control principles
  • Use time, equipment, infrastructure, and resources effectively and efficiently
  • Support budget awareness and contribute to cost-saving initiatives
  • Promote and consistently achieve SHER (Safety, Health, Environment and Risk) objectives
  • Maintain a safe, risk-free working environment through responsible behaviour
  • Demonstrate behaviours aligned with Sasol and Business Unit values and vision
  • Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • High School / School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • 0 or more years of relevant administrative or clerical experience
