Overview

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) invites young, agile, and talented individuals to apply for our Warehouse Learnership opportunities within our Logistics Department. This learnership is designed to equip unemployed youth with foundational knowledge and practical skills in logistics and warehouse operations, while offering a chance to complete a National Certificate in Freight Handling (NQF Level 3).

Successful learners will report to the Training Controller / Team Leader: Warehouse at their designated region.


Purpose of the Learnership

The learnership aims to provide:

  • Practical and theoretical exposure to freight handling and logistics fundamentals
  • Skills to improve customer service levels
  • Insight into key business principles in the warehouse environment
  • A formal qualification that enhances employability and growth in the logistics sector

Key Responsibilities

During the learnership, learners will be trained and assessed on:

-Receiving and maintaining stock balances in a warehouse environment

-Picking, packing, and delivering stock with minimal damage

-Understanding the financial impact of stock management on the business

-Recording stock movements on stock management systems

-Complying with safety legislation and internal warehouse procedures

-Maintaining housekeeping standards

-Developing teamwork, communication, and customer satisfaction skills

-Understanding and applying occupational health and safety procedures

-Applying numerical skills in daily warehouse operations


Competencies Required

  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in teams
  • Self-motivation and a proactive attitude
  • Good communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking)

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) with:
    • 40% pass in Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
    • 40% pass in Two South African languages
  • Must be currently unemployed
  • Must be between 18–35 years old
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must not have completed the same learnership previously
  • Employment Equity candidates only

Advantageous:

  • Diploma/Degree in Logistics or Operations Management
