Overview
Phakisa Holdings (Pty) Ltd is seeking a reliable and motivated Code 14 PDP / Forklift Driver to join our team in Cape Town. This permanent role is ideal for an entry-level candidate with up to 2 years of driving and forklift experience, looking to build a long-term career in logistics and transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete pre-trip truck checklists before each journey.
- Maintain the truck in roadworthy condition and ensure regular servicing.
- Plan and follow safe routes from suppliers or cold stores to collection and delivery points.
- Operate a forklift to load and unload trailers, verifying load accuracy.
- Report delays or challenges that may affect delivery schedules.
- Update delivery records and interact with customers in a professional manner.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, company safety policies, and delivery protocols.
- Ensure no unauthorized passengers are carried in company vehicles.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Code 14 Driverโs Licence with PDP.
- Forklift operating experience and licence required.
- Entry-level role (up to 2 yearsโ experience).
- Clean driving record preferred.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
