Job Overview:
Henwil Chickens is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Code 14 Driver to join its logistics team in Lichtenburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting refrigerated goods safely and efficiently using our fleet of cold trucks, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to all road and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Move refrigerated trucks between pallet stations, wash bays, parking, and loading areas as required.
- Comply with weighbridge procedures before and after loading.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensure vehicles are fueled and clean before and after each delivery cycle.
- Monitor and inspect cold units to ensure optimal temperature control.
- Report mechanical irregularities to the workshop.
- Comply with road safety laws and company SOPs at all times.
- Perform other operational duties as requested by management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate (Essential)
- Valid Code 14 driver’s license
- Experience with refrigerated trucks will be an advantage
- Strong planning and organizing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
