South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) Gauteng Region is inviting applications for 143 Contract Workers: Grants Review positions across various districts in Gauteng.

This opportunity is suitable for candidates with Grade 12, basic numeracy skills, and computer literacy who are passionate about administration and assisting beneficiaries with social grant review services.


Minimum Requirements

โ€ข Grade 12 / Matric certificate
โ€ข Basic literacy and numeracy skills
โ€ข Foundational computer literacy is essential

Main Duties

โ€ข Conduct beneficiary screenings and complete manual applications
โ€ข Perform file-level reviews and validations
โ€ข Assist beneficiaries in navigating appropriate service cubicles
โ€ข Verify documentation and information submitted for review
โ€ข Identify frail or immobile beneficiaries and conduct home visit reviews
โ€ข Participate in mobile review operations in remote or underserved areas
โ€ข Assist with mass review events at community halls or municipal offices
โ€ข Update beneficiary records in the SOCPEN system and other relevant platforms
โ€ข Capture and maintain accurate grant data
โ€ข Identify cases for suspension, lapsing, recovery of overpayments, or referral for investigation
โ€ข Support document tracking, filing, and preparation of review reports
โ€ข Scan and index documentation to ensure completeness and audit readiness
โ€ข Collaborate with registry and review teams to meet daily processing targets
โ€ข Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality standards
