Overview

Curro Digied is seeking a reliable and skilled Bus Driver to join our team. This role is integral to ensuring the safe transportation of learners and supporting the general maintenance of our facilities. Responsibilities

Learner Transportation

-Operate a school bus on designated routes, adhering to scheduled times.

-Safely pick up and drop off students at predetermined stops.

-Transport students and staff on field trips, planning routes and stops as necessary.

-Ensure student passengers maintain proper conduct and follow school policies during transport.

General Maintenance and Support

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and support the upkeep of school facilities.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and report any issues to the facilities manager.
  • Conduct daily facility checks and address any necessary repairs (e.g., plumbing, minor repairs).
  • Assist with security, access control, and traffic management within the school grounds.
  • Maintain the schoolโ€™s gardens, ensuring cleanliness and upkeep of lawns and flower beds.

Health and Safety

  • Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle to ensure operational safety.
  • Report any mechanical issues and ensure the vehicle is fueled and maintained.
  • Participate in safety drills and adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle to ensure safe transportation conditions.

Record Keeping

  • Maintain accurate logs, including mileage, passenger counts, and fuel usage.
  • Submit required reports to management on time.

Requirements

  • Education: Matric certificate.
  • License: Valid Code 10 driverโ€™s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Strong communication abilities, presentable appearance, and excellent time management.
  • Background: Clear criminal record.
