Overview

The Eastern Cape Department of Health is recruiting Data Capturers across all eight districts/metros to support routine information management and reporting (including DHIS). Successful candidates will capture and validate service data, maintain electronic records, and assist with day-to-day administrative information tasks.


Requirements

National Senior Certificate (Matric).

No experience required.

-Basic knowledge of administration processes.

-Numeracy and computer literacy (spreadsheets & data entry).

-Good communication skills, ability to โ€œdrawโ€/extract data.

-Self-driven, responsive and positive attitude.


Key Responsibilities

-Capture and update data on computer systems; generate spreadsheets.

-Update all data sets and validate data for correctness, completeness and consistency.

-Compile routine statistics and information reports.

-Receive, register, track and file records/documents for further processing.

-Transfer information from manual to electronic records.

-Perform routine administrative maintenance of files and databases.

Maintain the DHIS database and retrieve information as required.
