Minimum Requirements
Requirements vary slightly by post but generally include:
- Grade 8 / Grade 10 / ABET Level 4 / Grade 12 (as specified per post)
- Ability to read and write
- Good interpersonal and basic communication skills
- Ability to perform routine cleaning tasks
- Knowledge of cleaning materials, equipment, and Occupational Health & Safety (advantageous)
- Physical ability to work long hours and, in some posts, exposure to chemicals and hazardous conditions

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Cleaning offices, courtrooms, cells, passages, pavements, and open areas
- Cleaning and deep-cleaning toilets, basins, urinals, wall tiles, and floors
- Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, polishing, and vacuuming floors and carpets
- Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures
- Cleaning windows, doors, walls, kitchens, and appliances
- Refilling toilet paper, soap dispensers, and water bottles
- Assisting with tea and coffee during meetings (where applicable)
- Reporting defects such as broken lights, slippery floors, or damaged locks
- Maintaining clean and orderly storerooms
