Job Overview

Dis-Chem requires experienced Cashiers to support customer service at the point of sale while ensuring a world-class retail shopping experience. The role involves recording transactions accurately on the Dis-Chem operating system, maintaining strict cash control, and eliminating fraud risk.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Minimum 6 months cashier or till operation experience
• Computer literacy (MS Office)
• Strong numerical skills
• Good command of English
• Basic customer service skills
• Willing to work retail hours

Key Responsibilities

• Process all customer transactions (cash, cards, vouchers, loyalty cards)
• Maintain strict cash handling procedures
• Ensure zero inaccuracies and fraud prevention
• Process refunds and exchanges when authorised
• Monitor suspicious behaviour and report to management
• Ensure all stock is scanned and paid for
• Adhere to Dis-Chem security and customer service policies
• Maintain professional communication with customers
