Overview
Ekurhuleni West TVET College invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the permanent position of Driver at its Kathorus Campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting staff, students, and official documents while maintaining the safe and efficient operation of college vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and reliable driving service to authorised destinations
- Transport students, staff, documents, equipment, and mail
- Complete vehicle logbooks, record fuel consumption and service kilometres
- Assist in delivering and collecting college vehicles for servicing
- Conduct basic vehicle checks and report defects (e.g. flat tyres)
- Ensure college vehicle maintenance procedures are followed
Minimum Requirements
- Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
- Valid Code 10 driverโs licence
- Valid Public Driving Permit (PDP)
- 0โ2 yearsโ relevant experience
- Computer literacy (advantageous)
- Ability to read and write
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance
