Overview

Multiple reputable employers across South Africa are recruiting 150 Drivers across diverse fleets and environments. Roles include Code 8/Code 10/Code 14, motorbike/scooter, forklift & reach truck, tractor/lowbed, porter/crew, and specialized haul (crane/airport ramp/fuel/ready-mix). If you are safety-conscious, reliable, and service-oriented, thereโ€™s a seat for you.

Key Responsibilities

–Safe driving & on-time delivery/collection of passengers, goods, documents, parts or cargo.

–Vehicle care: daily inspections, cleanliness, basic defect reporting, and service scheduling.

–Load handling: secure, load/off-load and check consignments; complete PODs and trip sheets.

–Customer/guest interface: professional hand-overs, clear communication, and route updates.

–Compliance: follow company SOPs, traffic laws, OHSA, site and security protocols.

–Equipment operation (where applicable): forklifts/reach trucks/tractors/lowbeds/cranes per license.

–Admin: keep accurate fuel, mileage and delivery logs; report incidents/variances immediately.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Grade 9โ€“12 (or equivalent).
  • Licensing (role-specific):
    • Code 8/B (light vehicles, shuttle/guest transport).
    • Code 10/C1 ยฑ PDP/PrDP (regional deliveries, panel vans, small trucks).
    • Code 14/EC ยฑ PDP/PrDP (long-haul, horse & trailer, side tippers).
    • Motorbike license (bike courier/parts driver).
    • Forklift and/or Reach Truck license (warehouse operations).
    • Tractor/Lowbed/Crane/Ready-Mix: relevant ticket/competency an advantage.
  • General: ability to read job cards and delivery notes; basic numeracy; reliable, sober habits.
  • Fitness: able to lift/carry, push/pull, and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Availability: willing to work shifts/overtime/weekends/public holidays as required.

Preferred (Advantageous, not mandatory)

-Clean driving record; defensive-driving exposure.

-Basic mechanical awareness (pre-trip checks, spotting faults).

-Warehouse/yard experience, picking & packing, RF scanners (for DC roles).

-Professional passenger care (for hospitality/porter/chauffeur assignments).

-Local route knowledge in your area.
