Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine, a world-class producer of Chrome Ore located in the Limpopo Province, is offering a permanent opportunity for a qualified and reliable Pump Attendant to join its Mining North Division. The mine is situated approximately 60 km from Lydenburg and 40 km from Burgersfort and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Assore Limited.

Purpose of the Role
To ensure the efficient operation, connection, and maintenance of underground water pumps, ensuring minimal downtime and effective water control in support of mining operations.
Minimum Requirements
–Grade 10 / Standard 8 Certificate
-Completion of a relevant and approved training programme
Advantageous:
-Minimum of 6 months production exposure in an underground mining environment
-Basic knowledge of trackless mining equipment and operations
Key Responsibilities
-Responsible for the operation and monitoring of underground water pumps
-Ensure pumps are operating efficiently and effectively
-Extend and connect pumping columns as required to manage water flow
-Install and maintain pump systems with minimal equipment abuse or breakdowns
-Maintain a clean and safe working area around pumping systems
-Support the team by ensuring water-related issues do not disrupt mining activities
-Report equipment faults or performance concerns to the relevant supervisor
