Overview

Eastern Chrome Mines is seeking a qualified LHD (Load Haul Dump) Operator B3 to support underground mining production at Thorncliffe Mine. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating trackless mobile machinery safely and efficiently to meet daily mining output targets.

This is a production-critical role within the chrome mining sector, requiring strict adherence to safety standards and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate LHD machinery in accordance with Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) procedures
• Load and transport ore and material safely within underground operations
• Ensure production tasks are completed within specified timeframes
• Maintain safe working practices at all times
• Conduct pre-start inspections and report mechanical defects immediately
• Maintain good housekeeping and comply with mine safety regulations

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant LHD operating experience in underground mining
• Knowledge of trackless mobile machinery procedures
• Understanding of mining production targets and safety compliance
• Ability to work shifts and in a high-production environment
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
