Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to support the development of the Motheo Project in Ghanzi.
Position Purpose:
The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient installation and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems across Sandfireโs Motheo operations. The role involves leading technical work, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead and execute electrical and instrumentation installation tasks
-Ensure all E&I work is completed safely and according to design specifications
-Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of equipment
-Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and ensure minimal operational downtime
-Collaborate with engineers and contractors on infrastructure development
-Adhere to regulatory, environmental, and company standards at all times
-Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment status
-Report any non-compliance or safety hazards promptly
Minimum Requirements:
-Diploma or Trade Certificate in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
-Minimum of 3โ5 yearsโ experience in mining, heavy industry, or large infrastructure projects
-Sound knowledge of relevant electrical and instrumentation codes and standards
-Strong troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning skills
-Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations
-Ability to work in remote locations and harsh environments
-Strong communication and teamwork skills
