1. Project Manager (X2 Posts)

Department: Infrastructure Development and Human Settlements
Salary: Task Grade 13 (R451 556,52 โ€“ R586 135,44) per annum, excluding benefits

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 & National Diploma in Civil Engineering (NQF Level 6)
  • 3 yearsโ€™ relevant experience in Project Management
  • Valid Driverโ€™s Licence
  • Good computer literacy
  • Diploma in Project Management & professional registration will be added advantages

Key Duties:

  • Preparing and managing grant-funded projects and business plans
  • Registering & reporting projects on MIG-MIS
  • Monitoring, evaluating and presenting projects to committees
  • Drafting project specifications and participating in evaluations

2. Traffic Officers (X2 Posts)

Department: Community Services
Salary: Task Grade 10 (R269 959,32 โ€“ R350 426,40) per annum, excluding benefits

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 & Traffic Officers National Diploma
  • 2 yearsโ€™ relevant experience
  • Computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Valid Driverโ€™s Licence
  • Examiner of Driving Licence/ Vehicles (Grade โ€œAโ€) diplomas will be an added advantage

Key Duties:

  • Conducting law enforcement, inspections, issuing fines & impounding vehicles
  • Managing traffic control, speed monitoring, and accident response
  • Escorting VIPs, abnormal loads, and conducting crowd control
  • Supporting emergency, fire, and rescue services

3. Cleaners (X2 Posts)

Department: Facilities Management
Salary: Task Grade 03 (R132 228,00 โ€“ R148 873,92) per annum, excluding benefits

Requirements:

  • Grade 8, ability to read & write
  • Physical fitness & good health
  • One yearโ€™s relevant experience

Key Duties:

  • Cleaning offices and facilities
  • Serving refreshments to staff
  • Delivering mail, documents, and preparing boardrooms
  • Supporting office staff with general duties

4. Administration Assistant: Council Committees (X2 Posts)

Department: Corporate Services Directorate
Salary: Task Grade 08 (R227 005,02 โ€“ R294 659,76) per annum, excluding benefits

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 & National Diploma in Office Management/ Administration
  • 1 yearโ€™s experience in local government environment
  • Communication skills in English and any Nguni language
  • Computer literacy and strong organisational skills

Key Duties:

  • Providing admin support for Councillors and committees
  • Handling correspondence and travel arrangements
  • Compiling and distributing meeting agendas
  • Performing administrative functions as required

5. Revenue Accountant

Department: Budget & Treasury Office
Salary: Task Grade 12 (R401 049,24 โ€“ R520 584,12) per annum, excluding benefits

Requirements:

  • Grade 12, National Diploma in Accounting (NQF Level 6)
  • BCom Degree (NQF Level 7) with Accounting 3 will be an advantage
  • 3 yearsโ€™ municipal accounting experience, 2 years in Revenue Management
  • Computer literacy (Advanced Excel, MSCOA knowledge)
  • Valid Driverโ€™s Licence

Key Duties:

  • Verifying reconciliations, debtor reports, and adjustments
  • Preparing financial statements and statistical cash-flow reports
  • Managing debtorsโ€™ accounts, generating reminders, and debtor age analysis
  • Supporting audits and legal compliance processes

6. Cashier (Indwe Office)

Department: Budget & Treasury Office
Salary: Task Grade 06 (R166 770,36 โ€“ R216 488,88) per annum, excluding benefits

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 & Diploma/Certificate in Administration
  • 1 yearโ€™s finance experience (local government experience an advantage)
  • Computer literacy

Key Duties:

  • Receiving and receipting daily payments
  • Reconciling reports with collected cash
  • Filing reconciliation documents daily

7. Refuse Tractor/Truck Driver

Department: Waste Management
Salary: Task Grade 05 (R141 974,76 โ€“ R183 362,64) per annum, excluding benefits

Requirements:

  • Grade 8
  • Code 10 Driverโ€™s Licence with PDP
  • One yearโ€™s relevant truck driving experience
  • Ability to read & write, physically fit

Key Duties:

  • Driving refuse trucks and transporting waste
  • Delivering materials and collecting items for municipal operations
  • Inspecting vehicles and reporting conditions before use

8. Special Programmes Unit Practitioner

Department: Office of the Municipal Manager
Salary: Task Grade 11 (R339 704,04 โ€“ R440 952,06) per annum, excluding benefits

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 & National Diploma in Public Management/ Administration/ Social Science
  • 3 yearsโ€™ municipal/local government experience
  • Computer literacy & valid Driverโ€™s Licence

Key Duties:

  • Implementing programmes for youth, women, elderly, people with disabilities, and veterans
  • Conducting outreach, advocacy, and capacity development initiatives
  • Promoting arts, sports, culture, and recreational development
  • Reporting and evaluating programme performance

9. Public Participation & Customer Care Practitioner

Department: Office of the Municipal Manager
Salary: Task Grade 11 (R339 704,04 โ€“ R440 952,06) per annum, excluding benefits

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 & National Diploma in Public Management/ Administration/ Social Science
  • 3 yearsโ€™ experience in local government sector
  • Computer literacy & valid Driverโ€™s Licence

Key Duties:

  • Leading Public Participation programmes and initiatives
  • Coordinating meetings, events, and community engagement
  • Handling public queries and complaints
  • Implementing customer care services and reporting outcomes
