Overview:

The South African Police Service (SAPS) is offering young, motivated individuals in KwaZulu-Natal the chance to join the 2025/2026 Police Trainee Programme. Successful candidates will undergo 21 months of structured police training and may be permanently appointed as Constables upon completion. This is your opportunity to serve your country and build a stable law enforcement career.

Minimum Requirements:

• South African citizen (proof required)
• Between 18 and 35 years of age
• Grade 12 / Matric certificate (or equivalent qualification)
• Medically and psychologically fit (subject to assessments)
• No visible tattoos when wearing the SAPS uniform
• No criminal convictions or pending criminal cases
• Not previously declared unfit to possess a firearm
• Not previously dismissed from a government department
• Willing to work anywhere in South Africa
• Must not have previously participated in a SAPS trainee programme

• Applicants with a valid driver’s license (light motor vehicle)
• Tertiary qualification (NQF 6 or higher) in:
